The Cuppycake Dress by Pink Figg

I have a new love, “The Cuppycake Dress” by Pink Figg.  This pattern has sizes 12 months – 10 years old.  It is a quick, fun dress to make and any “princess” will surely love wearing it.  I used my favorite Bernina Foot, the Ruffler to ruffle the inches and inches of fabric.  I constructed the skirt on my Bernina 1200 serger using a narrow 3-thread.  The back bodice piece uses shirring to give the dress some fit.  This dress is finished off with beautiful buttonholes.

The skirt is made of 16 panels so it is a great way to use an entire line of fabric.  The bodice is constructed very simply. It is a wonderful place for some embellishment.

I used the new line from Moda and Tula Pink called Plume for this dress.
