Welcome friends,
Summer is here and everyone is busy with vacations, outdoor plans and
trying to survive our early summer heat. It’s hard to get in the
Holiday (Christmas that is!) mood when it is this warm, but we are
bursting with all the new Christmas fabrics. What fun color
combinations and designs they have this year. We will be holding a
“Christmas in July” sale July 23 through July 30. Loads of samples to
give you great ideas to get started on your Holiday sewing.
Several of our staff will be attending Bernina University in Kansas
City from July 15-21 which will also include getting to see the new
Bernina Series 8 machine. We are so excited and can’t wait to share
all we learn and see with you when we return. By the way, be sure to
visit the website, http://www.bernina8series.com set up just for this great new machine to keep up on any new releases as well as to sign
up for the web cast on July 21 at 6:30 pm for your own personal view
and demonstration on the new machine. You won’t want to miss it!
Some other very exciting news from the store! Ready To Sew Bernina
with all of our customers help have made it possible for us to visit
the Bernina factory in Steckborn-Switzerland in August! Dealers had
goals to meet that enabled us to qualify for this trip. We made it!!
We will be leaving for Switzerland on August 19th. We will get to sew
on the new machine while visiting the factory as well as seeing just
how our wonderful machines are manufactured. We will schedule a travel
journal of sorts when we return to share pictures and stories with you
all. Thank you – Thank you to all of you!
Our class schedule for summer is full and fun. Lots of very clever,
new ideas for new projects. We also will be hosting Debra Rutledge,
OESD Educator for an ER08 program on August 6 and 7, a program you
won’t want to miss. Then we will again have our buses to Houston Quilt
Festival, but this fills up fast, so corral your friends and make plans
to register early.
Enjoy your summer, come by the store often to check out the new
fabrics, books and patterns and share your projects with us. Make sure
you attend our Teacher Round-up Saturday, June 28 from 1-4 pm. A great
opportunity to see samples for the classes on this new calendar quarter
and meet the teachers as well!
Plan to attend this Oklahoma Embroidery Design special
presentation with Debra Rutledge, OESD Educator. You will see how easy
it is to create extraordinary embroidery with Excellent Results! The
trunk show and embroidery seminar will feature embroidery techniques,
tips and techniques to give your embroidery projects Excellent
Results. While attending either the morning or the evening session,
you will receive a variety of step-by-step instructions for projects to
take home, inspirational ideas, door prizes and sample products.
This will truly be a spectacular event, a chance to perfect your
embroidery and obtain those Excellent Results we all hope to achieve.
Be sure to register early as seating will be limited and you won’t want
to miss this great opportunity.
Registration for this exciting program is $35.00 which will include
lunch during the day session and light appetizers for the evening
session.
Our bus lists are open for the annual trek to Houston for the
International Quilt Festival. This year we will host a bus for both a
Thursday and Saturday trip.
Take the bus and leave the driving to us! Enjoy the trip with
friends, watching videos and planning your shopping technique upon
arrival at the show. A full and exciting day, but without the drive
and parking worries. Get your reservations in early so you won’t miss
the fun!
